5. Shopify and Shopify Network Intelligence
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information to provide ecommerce, payment, security, fraud-prevention, analytics, personalization, and other services to us and to shoppers.
Where Shopify Network Intelligence or related Enhanced Services are enabled, Shopify may use information from your interaction with our store together with information from other merchants and Shopify services to provide features such as fraud prevention, personalization, analytics, advertising, and measurement.
You can learn more by reviewing the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You may also use Shopify’s privacy controls to manage certain choices directly with Shopify.
6. Targeted advertising and data sharing
We do not sell personal information for money.
We may disclose identifiers, device information, Site activity, shopping activity, and advertising information to Shopify and advertising partners to measure campaigns or show ads that may be more relevant to you.
Under some U.S. privacy laws, this activity may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for “targeted advertising,” even when no money changes hands.
Depending on where you live, you may opt out by using the Your Privacy Choices or data-sharing opt-out link in our Site footer. Where required, we also recognize supported opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device sending the signal.
Turning off targeted advertising does not stop all advertising. You may still see ads that are not based on activity across different businesses or websites.
Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent status are excluded from the advertising disclosures described in this section. We do not use or share that information for third parties’ or affiliates’ own marketing, promotional, or targeted-advertising purposes.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our providers, including Shopify, use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to:
- Keep the Site and cart working
- Remember preferences and login information
- Provide security and prevent fraud
- Understand Site traffic and performance
- Measure marketing and support personalized advertising
- Identify when items are placed in a shopping cart or when checkout is abandoned
The specific cookies used may change as Shopify, our theme, and our apps change.
You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or the Cookie Preferences link in the Site footer, where available. You may also control cookies through your browser settings, but blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working correctly.
Traditional “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. Where required, we respond to recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control.
8. Email and SMS marketing
If you sign up for marketing, we may use your email address, mobile telephone number, shopping activity, and message interactions to send:
- Promotions and special offers
- Product launches and updates
- Abandoned-cart and checkout reminders
- Back-in-stock notifications
- Review requests
- Order and customer-service communications
- Other informational or transactional messages
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link included in any marketing email.
You can stop marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance.
Mobile-information sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile telephone number, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent status with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing, promotional, or targeted-advertising purposes.
We may disclose mobile information, including SMS opt-in information or consent status, to service providers that help us operate and deliver our messaging program. These providers may include messaging platforms, telecommunications carriers, customer-support providers, and vendors involved in transmitting, routing, supporting, or administering text messages.
SMS opt-in information and consent status are excluded from other categories of data sharing described in this policy when the disclosure is unrelated to providing or supporting the messaging service.
We may use cookies and similar technologies to identify items placed in your shopping cart, including when a checkout has been abandoned. This information may be used to determine when to send cart-reminder messages by SMS, where you have provided the required consent.
9. Find Your Lane AI Stylist
The Find Your Lane AI Stylist is accessed through ChatGPT, a third-party service operated by OpenAI. When you choose to launch the Stylist, you leave Nubian Lane’s Site and interact directly with ChatGPT.
Information, prompts, photographs, files, or other content you submit in ChatGPT are collected and handled by OpenAI under its privacy policy, terms, and your ChatGPT account settings.
OpenAI states that creators of custom GPTs cannot view individual conversations users have with their GPTs. Nubian Lane does not receive or view individual conversations you have with the Find Your Lane AI Stylist unless:
- You separately choose to send or share the conversation or content with us; or
- You use a connected feature that clearly informs you that information will be transmitted to Nubian Lane or another service
We may receive limited or aggregated Site information, such as whether a link to the Stylist was clicked.
Avoid submitting sensitive personal information, complete financial information, passwords, government identifiers, health information, or photographs and other content you do not have permission to use.

11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
